LiSTNR And Carsales Announce Latest Collaboration, The Showroom Podcast

If it has anything to do with cars, you will find it in The Showroom – Car News and Views, the latest podcast from LiSTNR’s long-term partnership with Australia’s number one automotive website, carsales.com.au.

The Showroom will feature the latest car news and views – from the inside info on new car releases, to what is causing a hike in petrol prices, interesting classifieds listed on carsales and everything in between.

The Showroom will be hosted by automotive commentator Greg Rust, who also heads LiSTNR’s popular Rusty’s Garage and carsales’ Watts Under the Bonnet: The Electric Vehicle Podcast.

Rust will be joined by a member of carsales independent editorial team on each episode to offer listeners unbiased, unfiltered, and informative conversations, as well as interviews with expert guests from the car world.

The Showroom is designed to appeal to all Australians who love anything with a motor and especially those who have a keen interest in the latest from the car world. It also allows for a more in-depth and behind the scenes look into the news stories, reviews and features that make the pages of carsales’ market-leading News & Reviews section.

The Showroom follows the successful launch of carsales and LiSTNR’s first podcast collaboration, Watts Under the Bonnet: The Electric Vehicle Podcast, that delves into everything electric vehicles as interest grows in the category.

carsales editor-in-chief, Mike Sinclair, said: “The team at carsales lives and breathes cars – and The Showroom is an opportunity to expand the online conversation we are already having with car enthusiasts and buyers alike.

“You’ll hear the opinions of our most experienced automotive journalists and editors – and hopefully be both entertained and informed along the way. There are so many auto stories out there and The Showroom will feature the pick of the bunch.”

carsales is Australia’s largest online automotive, motorcycle, RV, marine and industry classifieds business. It attracts more Australians interested in buying or selling cars, motorcycles, trucks, caravans, and boats than any other online publisher.

The LiSTNR and carsales partnership helps carsales to further create insightful and relevant content to assist Aussie car buyers, sellers, and owners on their journeys. Under the partnership, The Showroom and Watts Under the Bonnet will be joined by two more co-created podcast series before the end of 2022.

LiSTNR executive producer – branded podcasts, Todd Stevens, said: “As a nation, Australians love their cars, and The Showroom will appeal to a broad audience.

“Our partnership with carsales, Australia’s best-known online automotive business, is a natural fit as the destination for everything auto related. The series of podcasts are designed to attract new audiences for carsales as well as offering car enthusiasts more of what they love.”

The Showroom – Car News and Views will have new episodes on the second Friday of each month and is available from today, 16 September, on LiSTNR.
