Latest Star Wars Trailer Drops & It’s A Whole New Galaxy Of Epic

Disney has just dropped a brand new trailer for the ninth Star Wars instalment due in Aussie cinemas in December and, as we’ve come to expect, it’s again jaw droppingly epic.

The latest flick, called The Rise Of Skywalker, is the final in the trilogy that began with 2015’s The Force Awakens and is again co-written by Rian Johnson and J.J. Abrams.

Where Disney takes the franchise next is anyone’s guess, but with its licence to print mega money, no doubt there’ll be new stories and spinoffs coming anytime soon.

So, does the new trailer give away any plot hints? Despite initial fan speculation that it featured heroine Rey being cajoled over to the Dark Side, that doesn’t appear to be the case as she once again renews her light sabre battles with incumbent villain, Kylo Ren.

Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia also makes an appearance despite the actress passing away in December 2016.

Chewie, R2-D2, C3-PO and the Millennium Falcon are all back. With arguably the biggest treat of the trailer the debut of space horses.

Already, cinema advertiser VMO has predicted the film to be massive come its Christmas season debut. Although, as yet, an exact date for the film’s local launch is yet to be revealed.

Check out the just dropped trailer below:
