Kendall Jenner is no stranger to the covers of fashion magazines, but the model/reality star is gracing the cover of Vogue‘s September issue is a big fashion deal.
The September issue of American Vogue is the most anticipated fashion magazine in the world. A Who What Wear article details the reasons why the September issue is such a big deal- the advertising alone is a big investment.
“Publications like WWD and Ad Age track and publish the number of ad pages in every fashion magazine as a signal of how well they’re all doing. Why do the ads matter so much? Well, brands and companies pay a lot of money to be placed in these magazines, so they’re only going to shell out the big bucks for those publications they believe to be truly relevant and popular. Because of this, it’s also safe to assume that a magazine running a lot of advertisements is also financially healthy.”
Other big celebrities and models to grace the cover of September include Gisele Bundchen, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Beyonce.
A YouTube clip announcing the cover brings the whole Kardashian-Jenner clan as they receive the first copies of the issue.
