A French influencer has been snapped travelling in economy despite posting a photo of herself flying business class on social media.

Océane El Himer, a Dubai based French model and influencer, posted a photo of herself posing in front of a business class seat on a recent flight, with the caption “Next stop: Monaco. Je fly toute la night”, which translates to “I fly all night”.

However, according to Pedestrian, a fan caught El Himer travelling in cattle class on the same flight and took a photo.

A Twitter user sporting the username @NoboydCaresby posted the image alongside El Himer’s Instagram post.

The caption translates to “Miss Océane is travelling in business class while she really travels in economy. The worst part is that she took the time to take a picture in business class just to be that chick on Insta”.

The writing on the picture itself roughly translates to “It’s not, because she has to travel in economy with the rest of us”.

El Himer is famous for starring in a French reality TV show called Les Princes et les Princesses de l’Amour (the Prince and the Princesses of love) where she and her twin sister competed to win the affection of a man.

The influencer, who has more than 800,000 followers on Instagram, has since shared another post of herself travelling in business class with the caption “this time, I promise I paid”.

She then posted another photo of herself days later in business class captioned: “Thank you all! Thanks to you, I now have a business-class membership!”

According to The Independent, El Himer defended herself on Snapchat and said she has “no shame in travelling in economy class”.

“I took several flights to arrive in the south, including one in eco class. ..[Took] a picture and I accepted,” she said.

“I fully assume the fact of travelling in eco class, I’m not the type of girl who likes to show her money (…) Yes, I travelled in eco and in business. And so?

“Where is the problem, I do not understand? Much more serious things are happening in life.”
