Independent production company Infinity Squared has announced the appointment of Cathy Rechichi (pictured above, left) as executive producer (EP) based in its Sydney office.
Rechichi joins Infinity Squared with a wealth of experience producing projects ranging in budget from $40,000 to $40 million that have included music videos, high-end TVCs, feature-length films, large-scale live events, web series, multi-platform projects, telemovies and international-line productions.
She has produced award-winning work with a number of directors and artists, including Lesli Linka Glatter, Nick Reynolds, Malcolm Venville, Catriona Mackenzie, Paul Goldman and Nick Cave.
Her skills in managing high-stakes and deadline-driven projects have also been given a workout in previous roles such as general manager of the Big Day Out festival.
Rechichi will join Infinity Squared founder and EP Dave Jansen (pictured above, right) in the day-to-day running of production at the company.
Jansen said: “The industry produces some clever and interesting characters who possess the skill sets integral to creating our kind of work.
“Cathy’s got the smarts and a great energy about her, and she’ll be instrumental in raising our profile, developing our roster and generally building that part of our company.”
Commenting on her new role, Rechichi said: “I’m excited to be joining the Infinity Squared team. They’re fun, youthful and smart. Their view on the industry is refreshing, and I truly believe there’s no company better placed to meet the changing needs of our industry.”
