On Thursday, The Iconic launches its We Are Human Summer ‘19 campaign, with its fourth annual runway show.
Known for producing the world’s most body-positive runways, The Iconic Summer Show ‘19 evolved its traditional swimwear line-up to a showcase of both swim and ready-to-wear, highlighting that the Aussie summer isn’t just for everybody, it’s for everyone.
With The Iconic’s previous shows celebrating ‘self’ and ‘body love’, the introduction of ready-to-wear to the swim runway line-up paves the way for a more progressive and inclusive representation of what ‘the Aussie summer’ means.
Centred around transforming the stereotype that the Aussie summer is just ‘bronzed skin and blonde hair’, the runway demonstrates The Iconic’s commitment to ensuring customers are celebrated and feel valued regardless of their perceived differences.
We Are Human Summer Campaign
The We Are Human Summer 2019 Campaign aims to celebrate the humanity in all of us. As a progressive and inclusive retailer, The Iconic believes everyone should feel valued and have a sense of belonging in the world, regardless of their differences. It also seeks to appreciate the world in recognising and taking responsibility for sustainability in fashion.
As part of the We Are Human campaign, The Iconic also launched its inaugural ‘The Iconic Annual Progress Report’ which defines and transparently shares the business’ 2020 – 2025 sustainability and diversity, inclusion and body-positivity objectives.
