Radio host Jackie O and personal trainer Michelle Bridges have come to the defense of ex My Kitchen Rules judge Pete Evans, despite a series of increasingly strange social media posts by the celebrity chef.

Evans parted ways with Seven and MKR earlier this month and while it’s unclear the reason behind the separation, many have speculated it’s to do with Evans’ bizarre health advice and claims he often touts on social media.

Two weeks prior to the separation, Evans’ company copped $25,000 in fines from the Therapeutic Goods Administration on complaints about the promotion of a “BioCharger” device that occurred during a Facebook live stream on April 9.

Evans claimed the device – which he was selling for $15,000 – could be used in relation to “Wuhan Coronavirus”.

His website also claimed the BioCharger was “proven to restore strength, stamina, coordination and mental clarity” if you sat in front of it for a certain amount of time.

Additionally, from funding a possible coronavirus vaccine to asking his some 232K followers what Trump perhaps knows about CV-19 that others don’t, Evans has been dishing out some interesting content now that he’s no longer under Seven’s thumb.

He also posted a short video from the documentary Plandemic, which features an interview with a US virologist and well known anti-vaccination activist Dr. Judy Mikovitz.

He wrote: “Would love to know your thoughts as the person being interviewed has a fascinating story. What is the truth?”

Yet in an interview on KIIS FM on Monday morning, Jackie O brought up Evans while chatting to Bridges, saying she felt sorry for the chef.

“What do you think about Pete?” Jackie O asked Bridges.

She added: “I think in the media they’ve painted him as some crazy loon and he’s not at all.

“He’s just into health and … looking at alternatives. They really are going so hard on him, I think it’s really unfair.”

Bridges agreed and said: “I love him.” She added: “In the media I think sometimes you have to play this dance where you have to be beige; you have to say the right things, don’t say too much, don’t say too little.

“I love the fact that Pete Evans is who he is and he’s not afraid to be who he is and I think we need more of that.”

Both Jackie O and Kyle agreed with Bridges.
