Herald Sun has announced it is the presenting partner of Australian Open 2025 Opening Week.

Taking place from January 6-11, AO Opening Week includes qualifying matches with rising stars, open practice sessions with fan favourites, charity matches with players at Rod Laver Arena, live entertainment, and a kids’ day filled with family fun.

“AO Opening Week presented by Herald Sun offers amazing value to fans and families to watch the champions of tomorrow battle it out for a place in the main draw, get up close to the titans of the game as they practice on Rod Laver Arena, enjoy live music, hear directly from players, shop and sample delicious food and drinks from a huge range of outlets,” said Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley.

“We are excited to again partner with the Herald Sun to connect with new audiences and showcase everything the AO has to offer,” added Tiley.

As presenting partner, the Herald Sun will have exclusive access to Opening Week matches, players and activities giving its digital and print readers unprecedented access to the Australian Open both on and off the court.

“Opening Week resonates with our mission to unite Victorians through shared experiences and aligns with our commitment to inform, advocate and inspire the community. Just as we support other iconic community brands like the Melbourne Royal Show, we are thrilled to be the presenting partner of Opening Week at the Australian Open,” said News Corp Australia’s state and communities managing director, Victoria and Tasmania, Agostino Giramondo.

Across digital and print, Herald Sun will feature in-depth editorial coverage, high-impact ads, video and social in the lead-up and during Opening Week.
