Gawk Outdoor has announced its plans to expand into regional NSW, with four new digital billboards launching next month, and has welcomed a new director of sales for NSW.
The move marks the OOH company’s first significant venture outside of its traditional stronghold of regional Victoria, with the four billboards launching in the greater Newcastle area on 18 November.
“This is bloody exciting for our business,” said Gawk director, James Course.
“These first four panels across the Hunter are already proving popular across local clients since opening presales”.
To spearhead the expansion, Gawk Outdoor has appointed a new NSW director of sales, Sam Brown.
Brown joins from Nine where he was business director, leading radio advertising across Nine Radio’s stations 2GB, 3AW, 4BC, and 6PR.
Before that, Brown worked at JCDecaux as a senior account manager, the Newcastle Knights as the head of digital sales, and Metricon as a regional sales manager. He also brings experience from SCA and Mad Media Group to the new role.
“We’re stoked to bring Gawk’s unique outdoor advertising brand to regional NSW,” said Brown.
“It’s a market that deserves high-quality, impactful advertising for businesses of all sizes, and we know we can deliver that”.
