Tourism marketing agency Gate 7 has been appointed by Celestyal Cruises as its PR representation office in Australia.

Gate 7 will deliver Celestyal’s Australia PR strategy, driving brand awareness through in-market activity and media relations.

Headquartered in Athens, Celestyal Cruises is the preeminent cruise line serving the Greek Islands and East Mediterranean, operating two mid-sized vessels and offering passengers an individualistic cruising experience that prefaces Greek heritage and true cultural immersion.

In February 2018 Celestyal Cruises received four Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards: two first place awards, for Value and Shore Excursions, and two second place awards, for Service and Entertainment.

In December 2018 Celestyal Cruises was awarded the UK Cruise Critic Editors’ Picks Award for Best Service.
Leading the charge for Celestyal’s commercial expansion into the APAC region is regional manager Stewart Williams, who was appointed to the position in September following 20 years’ leadership experience as the managing director for Globus.

“Celestyal Cruises are thrilled to partner with Gate 7 to create widespread Australian awareness of our cruise discovery experiences through the enchanting Greek Islands,” said Williams.

Activity is already underway: in conjunction with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Williams will host a series of Celestyal Cruises educational workshops across Australia commencing in March, with a brand-new, sleek 30-page Celestyal Cruises 2019 brochure heading out to agents.

Gate 7 will also host key media on a familiarisation trip in the coming months to experience Celestyal Cruises’ unique hospitality.

Gate 7 director of PR & content Sophie Taylor said: “2019 is an exciting time for Aussie travellers with the Mediterranean on their minds.

“Celestyal’s affordable, personalised cruise offerings ensure desirable destinations in the Greek islands and Eastern Mediterranean can be accessed with more ease than ever before.

“Australians are the world’s number one cruise-goers, with one in 18 of us taking a cruise holiday in 2018.

“We look forward to capitalising on the media opportunities accompanying our country’s prominence on the world cruise stage to educate Aussies about Celestyal’s offerings.”

The appointment follows a busy period of activity for Gate 7, with the agency taking on Australian PR representation for Colorado’s Alterra Mountain
