Erin Molan Gets Political & Lands Her Own Gig On Sky News

Former Footy Show host Erin Molan is stepping away from the field and into politics.

After leaving Nine, Molan is now set to host a 7pm show on Sundays on Sky News titled Erin. Molan will be moving away from talking about actual tackles and instead will be tackling politics.

It’s a surprising move! But an interesting one and here at B&T, we love interesting.

Molan told The Daily Telegraph, “Just because I can be silly and funny and all of those things, does not mean that I don’t also have a real passion for politics or that I can’t be credible in other spaces.

“I have always deeply loved news and it has always been my passion, I have just been waiting for an opportunity to delve into that.”

Molan’s show will be taking over from Sharri Markson’s Sky News staple Sharri. Markson is currently on maternity leave. So, no official word yet on what will happen when Markson returns.

Of course, Molan is already very busy she does the FM breakfast spot with Dave Hughes and Ed Kavelee and is also a columnist for The Daily Telegraph.

Now, she’ll be weighing in on politics! It’s all happening.
