Enero Group Names ANZ Bank CFO Louise Higgins As Latest Board Member

Enero Group has announced the appointment of Louise Higgins as independent non-executive director of the Board, effective from today. Higgins will also Chair the audit and risk committee as of 1 December 2021.

Currently the chief financial officer for the Australian Retail and Commercial Division of ANZ Bank Limited, Higgins joins the Enero Board at an exciting time for the Group, as it builds momentum as a progressive global business with a refined executive leadership team, operating model and a newly-established growth and investment strategy.

Enero Group Chair, Ann Sherry said: “We are delighted to welcome Louise to the Enero Board. Her extensive financial, M&A and strategy experience will further strengthen and complement the expertise of the existing members of the Board.”

Higgins brings over 20 years of business and operational experience and leadership to the Enero Board. She began her executive career in London with law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, before working for broadcasting company BBC for seven years. In Australia, she has held a number of executive leadership roles, including Associate Director at Macquarie Bank and Chief Operating Officer for Nova Entertainment. Prior to joining ANZ Banking Group in 2020, Louise was appointed Chief Financial and Strategic Officer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation to oversee the company’s technology transformation. She joined ANZ Banking Group as the chief financial officer of its technology division and was later promoted to her current role.

Enero Group CEO, Brent Scrimshaw, said: “Louise’s appointment adds significant depth, global transformation leadership and digital expertise to the business at a time when the Group is accelerating into FY22 by driving smarter and effective solutions for our clients and employees globally.”

Commenting on her appointment, Higgins said: “Enero Group and its portfolio have a reputation for creating world-class work for the world’s leading technology, healthcare and consumer brands. I am looking forward to working closely with the executive leadership team, the Board and wider Group to build on its future growth trajectory.”

This appointment comes 14 months after the appointment of CEO Brent Scrimshaw and the group delivering record FY21 financial results, with net revenue up by 18.3 per cent to $160.6m on the prior reporting period. It also follows a number of senior appointments to Scrimshaw’s leadership team including: Carla Webb-Sear (CFO), Cathy Hoyle (Group General Counsel and Company Secretary), Nick Burton (Group Strategy and M&A Director), Heather Kernahan (Global CEO of Hotwire) and most recently Wai Kwok (CEO of Orchard).

In addition to the Enero Group, Higgins is also non-executive director for OneTwo Home Loans. She held similar roles with CanTeen, Commercial Radio Australia, Visit Victoria and Qudos Bank.
