Korean electronics brand LG is in total damage control after the company shared a vile video on social media of a sleazy old man upskirting a young woman with his phone as she walks up a flight of stairs.
The video was actually made by a prank creator who goes by the name of @sawardega and then for some unfathomable reason shared by LG Poland on its TikTok account.
Apparently the man in the video is using one of LG’s V60 ThinQ smartphones.
In the video, the elderly man, who’s actually an actor wearing prosthetics, is seen snapping photos of the woman who then realises what’s happening and angrily confronts him, taking the phone from him and going through the photo gallery. What she sees is nothing but selfies, thanks to the phone’s ability to snap two pictures at once. But it proves all the more sinister.

It’s been reported that @sawardega regularly makes “prank” videos dressed as an elderly man and has over four million followers.
The video, which has already garnered 20 million views on TikTok, has since been removed by LG Poland and its anonymous creator, but has gone viral on other social media platforms.
LG immediatley went into damage control, issuing the following – some might say half-hearted – apology: “A recent video posted by LG Poland failed to follow the proper approval process for social media content.
“It did not live up to the standards and policy of LG Electronics and was immediately removed. We apologise for any offense this ill-conceived video may have caused. We will strive to prevent such an occurrence from happening again in the future,” the statement read.
