Today, Domain is making this decision easier for millions of Aussie homeowners with the launch of Domain for Owners.
This feature from Domain lets owners see current, personalised information including demand for properties like theirs, how it has changed over time and its estimated value, all with the aim of helping them feel more confident in their next property move.
The feature uses Domain’s extensive property data to reveal just how ‘hot’ the market is based on demand for similar properties.
With Domain for Owners, users can:
Track a home’s current value and how it has changed over time
View current demand for similar properties
See suburb-level property movements, including recent sales in the area, as well as similar properties nearby for sale or rent
Connect with local agents
Domain’s chief consumer officer Jason Chuck (featured image) said: “Domain is focused on making life’s property decisions easier.
“It’s easy to get lost in the headlines around National or Capital City property market movements.”
Chuck continued: “But what does it all mean for individual property owners specific to their local area and their property features?
“We’ve launched Domain for Owners to help Australians feel more informed and to see exactly where their property fits into wider market movements.”
He added: “Domain for Owners is a big move for the industry.
“It’s the first time owners can see at this granular level, what current demand there is for their specific home.
“When you think about how that information can help homeowners make their next move, the potential is huge.”
Chuck concluded: “We are just scratching the surface on offering a unique, personalised experience as we extend our relationship with consumers from the relatively short property search period, measured in months, to the decade-long ownership cycle.”
Domain’s chief product officer, Maty Paule commented: “Throughout our research, we discovered that there is a lot of uncertainty around owning a home.
“With so many options like renting, selling, refinancing and more, we wanted to give owners the tools and confidence to make better property decisions.”
