Deepend’s Adam Washington Named CEO of The 6AM Agency

Sydney creative communications firm The 6AM Agency has announced the appointment of Adam Washington as its CEO.

Washington (pictured above, left) brings a decade of technology, digital and agency experience to the role. He spent the past four years at Deepend, where he served most recently as client services director.

He has also previously held strategic and client service roles at Tongue, Publicis Mojo, Wunderman and Amnesia Razorfish.

Washington joins 6AM to spearhead the business’ strategy-led, earned centric evolution, and accelerate its creative and commercial growth.

Founded in 2002 as Brand New Solutions by wellbeing communications expert and author Gillian Fish (pictured above, right), and rebranded The 6AM Agency one year ago, the Bondi-based firm has rapidly expanded its client base beyond its decade-long specialisation in wellbeing and good-living PR.

“We have been evolving fast to leverage our deep earned and owned heritage into a total marketing communications agency,” Fish said.

“We’ve grown revenues 20 per cent annually over the past two years, expanded and evolved our team, and have won significant new business beyond pure wellbeing.

“Adam’s appointment as CEO signals further acceleration of our rapid evolution as a strategy-led, modern, creative communications agency.”

Commenting on his appointment, Washington said: “At 6AM, I’ve found a passionate team with a best-in-class understanding of storytelling and the critical role stories play in today’s earned-centric world.

“As our strategy led, integrated growth continues, part of my role will focus on 6AM’s ongoing evolution in response to client, market and technological change. We’re committed to building the agency model of the future.”
