It appears new year and a changing of the guard when it comes to new business wins for Aussie creative agencies.
Omnicom’s DDB has stormed to the top of the leader board for the month of February according to the latest data from global consultancy firm R3.
Interestingly, Y&R, who dominated the results for much of 2016, has dropped back to 20th position according to the latest data.
DDB jumped eight spots to the number one position with wins that including retaining the McDonald’s business and the YMCA Project.
JWT was up two spots in to second spot, while Publicis was up five into third position. McCann lost the number one spot it earned in January and fell to fourth. While Ogilvy rounded out the top five.
However, it must be added that business over the post-Christmas months is typically slow and the figures need to be taken in that context.
