Crocmedia has announced a new broadcast radio rights partnership for the Australian team’s upcoming tour in India and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales.

The partnership will allow Crocmedia to broadcast the competitions on 1116 SEN, 1377 SEN+ and DAB+ platforms, as well as 1629 SEN in Adelaide.

Executive director of Crocmedia Chris Giannapolous said of the deal: “We were thrilled to add cricket to our summer sports line-up this year — headed by our chief sports caller Gerard Whateley — who also led our coverage of the much-discussed Aussies’ 2018 tour of South Africa.

“Cricket on the radio is part of the fabric of the Australian sporting culture and we look forward to expanding our live coverage through the upcoming Aussie tour in India and the ICC Cricket World Cup”.

The deals were secured by Indian digital content platform Sports Flashes, and follows SEN’s exclusive coverage of all 59 BBL matches as well as Australia’s test matches against Sri Lanka and India through its rights deal with Cricket Australia.

Crocmedia’s one day international schedule runs from February 24th to March 8th, with the T20 international kicking off from March 10th.

The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup will be hosted from England and Wales from May to July.
