Craig Page and Carly Osman-Holme have been named as the new leadership team of Sydney creative services company The Conscience Organisation and its sister start-up Give Art Science.

Page and Osman-Home will work alongside the companies’ founder Clive Burcham as group head of creative strategy and group general manager respectively.

Osman-Holme moves into the group general manager role after three years leading Give Art Science, while Page joins from Ogilvy PR, where he was head of digital across its six PR businesses and lead its Social@Ogilvy Australia team.

The appointments represent the first public announcement of The Conscience Organisation since its return to 100 per cent management ownership from STW in December 2015.

Burcham said his ambition has lifted to explore new territories of business since the buy-back.

“This new team represents another phase in a successful history of timely reinvention that has maintained our reputation for being the first,” he said.

“We were one of the first in town to get into content – now there’s a million of those. Same with social media and mobile. The move beyond simple campaign work into developing new business models, innovation, NPD and, like everyone with resources, investments in future-based businesses and talent.”

Page said the group will adopt a more people-centric approach in the future.

“We’re discovering new and improved ways to create and connect business and people every day,” he said. “As an industry, we need to take more of a front foot in embracing more user-friendly solutions where the users are our marketing partners, audiences and employees.

“The people are avoiding classic ‘interrupt and persuade’ communications more and more each day, and creative service businesses haven’t evolved to keep up with a changing world. There is no reason why we can’t fix this, and I’m hoping we can start setting the example.”

Osman-Holme said that over the last few months she has helped rebuild the companies around the philosophy of ‘people first wins’.

“This has become the lens through which we have shaped our products, our approach, our structure to provide the most benefit to clients and partners, and most importantly, how we reward, recognise and empower our people,” she said.

“We are really excited about this new chapter and becoming a truly ‘people first’ organisation.”

The Conscience Organisation and Give Art Science’s clients and partners include Nestle, Macquarie University, The Australian Turf Club, Contiki, Frucor and Westpac, as well as start-up businesses Sherpa, SkilledUp and Butcherman.
