Coke Goes After The Ys, Enlisting Tyler, The Creator In Gloriously Entertaining New Work

This time last year, Coke was sliding into BIG trouble. Bars, restaurants and cafes were closing the world over and Coke bosses in the US took the extraordinary step of temporarily halt the brand’s advertising around the globe.

But it appears things are on the improve for the fabled fizzy drink, today unveiling a high-energy campaign featuring the beats of “it” rapper at the moment, Tyler, The Creator.

The spot’s the work of Coca-Cola in the UK and its creative agency Wieden + Kennedy London and directed by cinema duo Tania Verduzco and Adrian Perez who go by the moniker Los Perez.

The campaign will run across TV, online video, radio and interactive out-of-home. Fans are also invited to recreate the dances on their own social channels.

Check out the fun below:

Commenting on the work, Walter Susini, Coke’s SVP of marketing for Europe, said: “What is brilliant about this campaign is how we have merged the power of creative and connections to be able to increase our efficiency and effectiveness in our overall plan.

“We have developed a modular communication platform that enables us to have one unique message and tone of voice across the different moments and occasions of the year in all touch points to push the brand experience,” Susini said.
