Cameo, the leading marketplace connecting the world’s talent directly with their biggest fans, has selected Archetype as its communications agency in Australia.

Known for its extensive selection of well-known celebs – everyone from athletes to reality personalities and pop culture icons – this comes as part of Cameo’s invigorated expansion into the Australian market to grow its talent base and presence locally.

Archetype has been chosen to manage the communications program spanning media, PR and content.

“Cameo is a real magnetic brand and category creator changing the game globally for how celebs and talent interact with their fans,” said Karen Coleman, Archetype managing director (pictured).

“Not only is it a real fun brand to have in our portfolio, but it’s also great for our clients who can use the platform for their own marketing needs.”

“We loved the passion, scrappiness and creative thinking of the Archetype team. From day one, we knew they were the right team to support us in our Australian growth trajectory and help us to drive PR impact locally in Australia and beyond,” said Allie Mack, Cameo’s director of communications.

To support the continued growth of the agency, Archetype has restructured its management team to help drive its vision 2025.

Joining MD Karen Coleman, strategy director Bec Madden and creative director Lee Devine, Alice Smith has been promoted to senior account sdirector leading strategic communications and supporting operations.

Aranya Phookan has also stepped up as senior account director with a focus on integrated and digital and Ben Amdur, senior creative, will elevate the agency’s content strategy and creative services.

To also support the growth in its consumer division – with clients including HTC, Tile, Upright, ASUS, amongst others – Brittany Lawrence has been promoted to account director and will continue building the consumer division, focusing on PR, digital, creative and content.

Cameo joins Archetype’s client portfolio including Ericsson, HTC, Tile, NBA, GitHub, ASUS, LEGOLAND, RØDE Microphones, UTS, and Akamai among others.
