The Cairns Crocodiles Awards celebrate creativity from across the entirety of the Asia Pacific region—and it’s returning for an even bigger and even better showing in 2025

Connected to the Cairns Crocodiles Asia Pacific’s leading festival of creativity, the Awards showcase the greatest brand-building and game-changing work from around the region. With categories ranging from Audio Craft to Strategy and Effectiveness, there is a Crocodile for ever sector of the industry.

Here’s a recap on all of the winning work from outside Australia and New Zealand (there was a lot).

Audio Craft

Wieden and Kennedy Tokyo took home the inaugural Audio Craft Gold Crocodile for an exceptional campaign spruiking CJ CheilJedang Corp’s Bibigo dumplings.

One of our judges—from a panel comprised exclusively of Asia Pacific client-side marketers—said that “Wieden and Kennedy rarely miss”. This campaign proved it again.

It even beat out The Monkeys’ all-conquering ‘Play It Safe’ for the Sydney Opera House. We warn you, though, this tune will get stuck in your head for days.

Design

Another winning hailing from Japan, VML Ogilvy’s ‘Edible Literature’ for Kameya Yoshinaga was a simply sumptuous piece of work.

“A truly unique concept combining stories with tasting experiences and integrating the story into the packaging cements the connection,” said one judge.

Digital Craft

The digital craft category saw VML Ogilvy Japan pick up another Gold Crocodile, in collaboration with Studio X.

Coca-Cola’s Christmas campaigns are world-renowned but VML Ogilvy Japan took this iconic brand to another level entirely—with a drone show. Our judges said the execution was “brilliant” and said the concept was “beautiful.”

Direct

In the Direct category, Ogilvy Singapore would start its impressive Crocodile haul for its ‘Skins for Skin’ campaign for Vaseline.

“It creatively integrates digital and real-world challenges in a way that resonates effectively with a young, tech-savvy demographic effectively promoting the campaign message,” said one judge.

FMCG Campaign

Over in the FMCG category, VML Singapore’s ‘Change the Angle’ for Unilever brand Lux shone a light on the everyday sexism pervasive in women’s sports.

“It’s a great campaign, that isn’t about the brand but about giving a voice to female empowerment and respect,” said one of our judges.
