Budget AirPods Turn Out To Be Larger Than Woman’s Head

With a price tag usually ranging between $200 and $400, it’s to be expected that shoppers look for cheaper options when purchasing Apple AirPods.

But one shopper’s attempt to find a budget pair has gone disastrously – albeit hilariously – wrong in recent weeks.

The Dubai woman, named Aleezay, purchased the ‘AirPods’ from Amazon for roughly $100, according to Metro.

While the headphones did eventually arrive, unfortunately for the woman, they were larger than her head.

“So today I received my airpods from Amazon. God these are huge,” she Tweeted.

“I got the AirPods from Amazon last month. I knew they were fake because Amazon sells weird stuff, and it wasn’t expensive.

“I was shocked not going to lie, but we move on.”

As could be expected, the hilarious Tweets soon went viral, with users comparing the oversized earbuds to a hairdryer.

“Most of you saying it’s hairdryer. But I say it’s ‘eardryer,’” Aleezay said.

The tweet has since been deleted, but not before it garnered more than 72,000 retweets.
