Aussies Keen As for South By Southwest 2015

More than 250 of Australia’s digital creatives, marketing executives and other interactive innovators have already booked in to 2015’s South by Southwest 22nd Interactive Festival and Conferences to join 30,000 global attendees March 13-17, 2015 in Austin Texas.

In 2014, more than 750 delegates from Australia registered and 55 bands showcased for the sister SXSW Music Festival among 2000 international bands in over 100 venues.

Ad agencies, telcos, software developers, app creators, site producers, marketing gurus, communication companies, television pros, media writers and a rich array of other talent are booked to go.

SXSW Interactive is an incubator of cutting-edge technologies and digital creativity, the 2015 event features five days of compelling presentations and panels from the brightest minds in emerging technology, scores of exciting networking events hosted by industry leaders and an unbeatable lineup of special programs showcasing the best new websites, video games and startup ideas the community has to offer. From hands-on training to big-picture analysis of the future, SXSW Interactive has become the place to preview the technology of tomorrow today.

More than 600 sessions have been programmed and announced from more than 3000 ideas presented during the ‘Panel Picker’ submission process.  Early adopters and digital trendsetters will be able to discuss the topics listed with speakers detailed here.

For each of the five days between 2-3pm, presentations as solo keynote talks or a conversation between two individual thought leaders takes place. For 2015, the following are 3 of 5 confirmed Keynote speakers:

*       Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al-Saud Alfa Intl

*       Martine Rothblatt United Therapeuticcs

A massive trade fair exhibition during SXSW IA and peaks with the SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards March 17 from hundreds of submissions around the world.  Entries closed November 9 and there are Australian contenders.

The SXSW Gaming Awards are wrapping up submissions on December 12.  Gaming also has its own trade fair with booths showing the latest innovations.

The price for an Interactive Registration and Badge is US$1095 which grants access to all events for five days.

The price for a Platinum Registration and Badge is US$1575 which allows for nine days of IA, Music and Film Festival events entry, attendees directory and access to unlimited concerts and unique presentations.

A Gold registration and Badge is $US1295 which covers the IA and Film Festival events and parties.
