Aussie ad agencies have proved their global prowess at the recent Midas Awards, which celebrate the world’s best financial advertising from entries from 24 countries.

Part of the New York Festivals Competition, the awards enlist a panel of industry experts to select the winners, which in 2016 consisted of 12 Gold and Silver Australian winners.

MercerBell scooped up two Gold Midas, two Silver Midas, and three Midas Certificates for their work for World First, Qantas, and Allianz.

R/GA nabbed two gold and two certificates for campaigns with ANZ, while Wunderman-Bienalto took home two Gold and  Clemenger BBDO Sydney, Saatchi & Saatchi and thedylanagency all scored one Silver trophy each.
