Aussie Hero? Man Sausage Sizzling In Lockdown Takes Umbrage At Probing Seven Reporter

A Melbourne man who apparently contravened the state’s lockdown laws by having a sausage sizzle has become a viral hit after he lashed out at a probing journalist from the Seven Network.

The unidentified bearded chap was frying his bangers by the Yarra River when approached by the Seven journalist.

“Did you realise there’s a lockdown?” the reporter asks via a socially distanced microphone on a long pole.

The barbecuer responds, “Mmm, can’t wait for some of these snags, this is gonna be good as” before sending the reporter’s mic flying.

And it appears social media has clearly sided with Mr Sausage.

“You can’t interrupt us Aussie when we’re cooking snags,” wrote one after the video was posted to TikTok.

“The microphone was not social distancing from his snags,” another commented.

“I don’t agree with him ignoring the lockdown but this response was legendary,” another added.
