Ten’s departing director of corporate and public communications Neil Shoebridge (Pictured) will be moving to APN Outdoor in May.
The move was confirmed by APN this morning, announcing the newly formed communications agency Shoebridge Media Group will operate as APN Outdoor’s in-house communications unit three days a week.
Speaking on the move, APN Outdoor CEO and MD James Warburton said: “It will be great to be working with Neil again.”
“A focus for our business is to have a greater voice in the media industry. Neil will bring a huge level of knowledge and respect to our communications strategy and activities.”
Shoebridge has been at the helm of Ten’s communications affairs since 2012.
In 2015 he was named one of the 50 most influential corporate affairs executives in Australia by corporate affairs recruitment firm Salt and Shein.
Shoebridge has more than 30 years’ experience in the media, marketing and communications sectors.
APN Outdoor GM of marketing Charlotte Valente said: “We are thrilled to have Shoebridge Media Group join APN Outdoor. Neil’s extensive experience and proven track record is what is required to drive our business strategy and ambitions.
“Neil’s credentials will ensure APN Outdoor capitalises on every opportunity to cement our thought-leadership credentials, a key pillar in our strategy.”
Shoebridge added, “APN Outdoor is an industry leader in the outdoor sector and one of the strongest media companies in Australia.”
“The APN Outdoor leadership team have a clear strategy focused on transformation, innovation and the evolution of APN Outdoor in the broader media eco-system and I’m excited to be part of that”, he said.
Shoebridge Media Group will start working with APN Outdoor on 29 May.
