Adstream has promoted its operations and technology head, Gerry Sutton, to chief executive.
Sutton (pictured), who joined in July as global head of operations and technology, takes over the CEO role from Gerard Barron.
Barron, who started the advertising technology company more than a decade ago, announced his resignation last month. He will remain a member of the board of directors with Sutton to commence as CEO in January.
“When Gerry initially joined the business I always envisioned that he could succeed me as CEO and as such it gives me great pride to handing over to someone who has been part of the Adstream story for the last 10 years,” Barron said.
“Now seemed like the right time to concentrate on some of my other business interests but I look forward to continuing to support Gerry and the business over the coming years as it continues to expand internationally with new innovative products and services.”
Before joining Adstream, where he is credited with playing a “pivotal role” in the development of Adbank, Sutton was head of operations for Sensis. Adbank is a cloud-based advertising production management platform.
Sutton added: “It is extremely exciting to be leading the business as it continues to deliver new and innovative solutions to brands and agencies globally.”
