The Daily Mail Australia has announced today the appointment of Mikaela Lancaster as general manager.
Within this role Lancaster will look after the commercial side of the business and will report to The Daily Mail Australia board.
The board is divided up between Mi9, Nine Entertainment Co. and DMGT with Mi9's CEO Mark Britt and Nine’s CEO David Gyngell taking seats.
The Daily Mail has two seats on the board seeing global publisher and editor-in-chief of the Mail Online, Martin Clarke, with one seat and the other seat still to be appointed.
Lancaster will hire four sales specialists and the Mi9 sales team will also sell Daily Mail inventory.
The editor for The Daily Mail Australia will be announced in the New Year.
The popular British news site announced its debut to Australia in November, with the website expected to be up and running by early next year.
