Penny Dixon joins Iris Sydney as MD

Iris Sydney has appointed former M&C Saatchi Sydney managing partner Penny Dixon as managing director.

Dixon, who joins Iris after nine months at Brand2Content, will report to the agency’s regional CEO for Asia, Luke Nathans. She has been appointed to replace outgoing MD Simon Porter, who has not yet announced his next move.

She has previously also worked at DDB Sydney & NZ, and JWT. Her biggest accolades include heading up McDonald’s Australia, overseeing the integration of digital within the agency at JWT, and being appointed managing partner at M&C, responsible for overseeing the Woolworths Group and Qantas businesses.

Nathans said: “After an exhaustive search, we are very happy to have Penny on board. She is a fantastic talent who has worked with some of the nation’s biggest agencies and favourite brands.”

Dixon added: “Iris is exactly the opportunity I have been looking for. An agency with creative innovation at its core that can deliver new ways for brands to participate in today’s tech-driven world is truly unique and exciting to be a part of.”

Dixon’s is the second major appointment this month at Iris Sydney, after Mike Spirkovski was appointed as Iris’ new ECD.
