Marketing mastermind behind EMMA departs The Newspaper Works

EXCLUSIVE: Lucia Elliott, who helped launch The Newspaper Work’s EMMA (Enhanced Media Metrics Australia) to the market, has decided to quit the organisation.

B&T call reveal that today marks Elliott’s final day as marketing director at The Newspaper Works, as she moves on to take up a new challenge following six years leading its marketing duties.

Before joining The Newspaper Works, Elliott (pictured) enjoyed stints at George Patterson, The Campaign Palace and McCann.

She told B&T that following the successful launch of EMMA in August, where she worked alongside The Hallway on a national print and online campaign, the time was right to move on to something new.

“The launch of Emma has been one of the most fulfilling experiences during my time at Newspaper Works, and pretty much a career highlight, given its complexity and importance to industry,” said Elliott.

"It was a great opportunity to work on it, but now it's gone to market it’s time to move on,” she said, adding that she has a new role lined up but is unable to divulge details at this point.

Elliott also said that she’s looking forward to being one of the expert panel of B&T Award judges for the final round if judging taking place in Sydney tomorrow, ahead of the 2013 B&T Awards next month.

“Tomorrow was supposed to be my last day with The Newspaper Works, but I will be doing judging for B&T, it's something I’m really excited about,” she said.
