LivingSocial makes big marketing moves

LivingSocial has bolstered its marketing efforts Down Under with two new marketing appointments and the selection of a new PR agency.

DEC Communications has won LivingSocial’s PR and communications account in Australia, following a competitive pitch.

The group buying company has also appointed Kayt Mann to the role of head of marketing in Australia and New Zealand, and Emily Stevenson as trade marketing manager.

Mann was previously marketing manager at CloseBuys, a division of OohMedia, while Stevenson joins from Wilde Financial Services.

Adam Rigby, CEO of LivingSocial Australia and New Zealand, said: “LivingSocial is growing its presence in Australia through expansion in hyper local markets and via strategic partnerships with high profile merchants across our Deals, Shop, Live Events and Escapes platforms.

“As a global leader in the space, we are evolving our offers and I welcome Kayt and Emily to the LivingSocial team at this interesting time.”
