Interbrand Australia wins two global branding gongs

Interbrand Australia has won two Rebrand 100 Global Awards for its work on Alzheimer’s Australia and Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).

The Omnicom-owned branding agency, which has offices in both Sydney and Melbourne, also took out a Distinction for Griffin Theatre Company.

The Rebrand 100 Global Awards is the primary recognition for repositioned brands around the world.

The awards focus on telling the complete story of a rebrand, from strategy to creative, including details of before and after, and the impact of the work in terms of commercial objectives.

CEO Damian Borchok said: “Over the past 12 months, we’ve worked hard with both Alzheimer’s Australia and QAGOMA to help them reposition and change their world. To win not one but two Rebrand 100 Global Awards is a rewarding achievement, and one that we couldn’t have achieved without the unique combination of strategists, graphic designers, motion designers, writers and managers whom make up Interbrand.”

Juror Allen Adamson, MD, Landor Associates said: “This year’s Rebrand 100 winners teach us the ever-important lesson that a brand’s value comes not from size and scale, but from telling a smart story consistently across customer experiences.”

Interbrand Australia was responsible for the major Telstra rebrand undertaken in late 2011, ‘Life in full colour’ (below).
