Get in quick: new Offspring episode available on Tenplay for 48 hours, or up to 20,000 views

Make sure you get in quick. Fans of the popular TV drama Offspring are able to watch the premiere episode of season five on Tenplay for a limited time, 48 hours or up to 20,000 views, whichever comes first.

The episode will be available exclusively from tomorrow (May 6) on Ten’s catch up service, Tenplay, for the first 20,000 viewers. If you miss out, bad luck, you’ll have to wait for the TV broadcast on May 14, 2014.

However, the full fourth series will also be made available on Tenplay on Wednesday May 7 for a week in order for fans to catch up ahead of the season five premiere.

“Last year left us asking how could Nina ever recover from losing Patrick. Six months later, and the answers come in surprising ways as the Proudmans rally – as only they know how,” Rick Maier, Ten’s head of drama, said.

“This year Offspring manages to achieve the seemingly impossible: if television can ever make us question the big stuff while remaining life-affirming, crazy and joyful, then this is the series to do it. Baby steps Nina, baby steps.”

Last year saw more than a million viewers tuning in to farewell Patrick and welcome Nina’s baby.

In its 8.30pm timeslot Offspring will miss the high competition for viewers from Seven’s House Rules and Nine’s The Voice (which debuted last night to 2.155 million viewers).

Offspring star Asher Keddie recently won her second silver Logie for Most Popular Actress at the TV Week Logies as well as a Logie for Outstanding Actress.
