Cirrus Media has appointed an experienced and creative management team to oversee its media and travel properties to consolidate the groups’ market leading positions.
Dan Uglow and David Hovenden will share joint responsibility for both groups as directors of content and commercial.
David Hovenden returns to Cirrus Media after nearly three years apart from the group. He was previously responsible for B&T and the media group as publisher as well as several other portfolios in the company. Since his departure, Hovenden has been working as a consultant for media firms and government agencies and has amassed significant knowledge around content marketing.
“It is an exciting time for B&T’s development in an ever-changing media landscape, with several massive innovations ready for launch in 2014. The group has solidified its leadership in the events space with the launch of MAD Week and has received another record number of entries for the B&T Awards, which will be held 22 November” said Hovenden.
“Dan Uglow’s editorial and creative expertise is second to none plus he intuitively knows how to commercialise strong editorial platforms. We will now bring his skills to bear on B&T and the Media group,” said Cirrus Media CEO Jeremy Knibbs.
“The new management team for Media has a long track record of working together and I am confident they will make a huge mark on the industry,” Knibbs continued.
B&T editor Alex Hayes has resigned from Cirrus Media. His employment with the company will continue until 14 October, but he will be overseas to get married until that time.
