Wednesday TV Wrap: The Block Cheating Scandal Launches Nine To Nightly Win

The Block’s cheating scandal has shown no signs of slowing – surely to the delight of the Nine gods.

The scandal engulfing the show has led it to a very strong week of results, with Wednesday night’s episode topping entertainment and scoring 941,000 viewers (as per OzTAM’s metro data).

On top overall was Nine News – another win for the network – as it just beat Seven News at 1,069,000 viewers to 1,066,000.

A Current Affair had 759,000 viewers and ABC News had 685,000.

Also in entertainment was the ABC’s Hard Quiz, performing well with 592,000 viewers, and Seven’s Home and Away with 618,000.

The rest of Seven’s night saw The Chase nab 564,000 viewers while RFDS had 472,000 and Nurses had 401,000.

The ABC’s packed night of programming had 7.30 grab 572,000 viewers while Question Everything had 441,000 and Rosehaven had 413,000.

Nine’s big night saw Hot Seat grab 528,000 viewers and Paramedics score 498,000.

Finally for 10, top was The Project with 532,000 viewers, then was The Bachelor with 447,000 and next was 10 News First with 373,000.

On top overall was the Nine Network with 31.1 per cent of the daily share, nabbing it a narrow win over the Seven Network, which had 30.1 per cent.

In third was the ABC TV Network, in what was also a tight competition. The ABC scored 16 per cent to Network 10’s 15.7 per cent.

Finally, the SBS Network had 7.1 per cent of the share.
