Thursday TV Wrap: Gogglebox Wins Entertainment War, Growing Audience From Last Week

After a tight race between Gogglebox and Home and Away last week, this Thursday, Gogglebox again took the crown.

It scored 596,000 viewers, growing a modest 19,000 from last week, while Home and Away‘s numbers dropped by 25,000 to reach 541,000 viewers.

Also on Seven was Seven News with 931,000 viewers, Home and Away – Late with 523,000, The Chase with 481,000.

Over on Nine was Nine News with 923,000 viewers, A Current Affair with 685,000, RBT with 435,000, Hot Seat with 424,000, Paramedics 408,000 and Tipping Point with 298,000.

As well as Gogglebox, 10 had The Project with 394,000 viewers, while The Bachelorette Australia shrank slightly for its second night scoring 345,000 and 10 News First had 309,000.

For the ABC, ABC News had 636,000 viewers, 7.30 had 515,000, and Foreign Correspondent with 353,000.

The Nine Network won the night with 28.2 per cent, followed by the Seven Network with 26.7 per cent.

Network 10 followed with 20.4 per cent, while the ABC TV Network had 15.5 per cent, SBS Network with 9.1 per cent.

Seven News had a total tv audience of 1,571,000 (metro: 957,000, regional: 578,000, BVOD: 25,000); Nine News had a total audience of 1,262,000 (metro: 914,000, regional: 313,000, BVOD: 34,000) and Home and Away had 1,156,000 (metro: 565,000, regional: 395,000, BVOD: 151,000).

The program with the highest lift on overnight was Love Island Australia at a very impressive 137 per cent, bringing it to a total audience of 542,000 (metro: 171,000, regional: 58,000, BVOD: 256,000).
