Thrive PR + Communications is adding ASX listed, Frugl Group Limited to its stable of tech and FMCG brands after being appointed PR and Social Media agency of record in Australia.

The win follows a competitive pitch that will see Thrive exclusively manage all of Frugl Group’s earned corporate and consumer media relations as well as influencer engagement, social media community management, content creation and digital amplification.

Frugl’s Groceries App is committed to changing the way Australians shop by providing transparent pricing and educating shoppers to spot strategic supermarket tactics to spend more money from their phones.

Its advanced retail analytics platform, Infocus Analytics allows shoppers to compare products across Woolworths and Coles, to create store and brand-specific and customisable shopping lists that can be optimised by price.

Frugl Group’s managing director and CEO, Sean Smith, said: “Frugl is fast becoming the independent voice of grocery insights in Australia and in 2021, consumer confidence has never been more important.

“A continued emphasis on media relations and digital amplification will be key to future user and company growth, and in Thrive we have found a partner that understands both consumer retail and business to business technology.”

Leilani Abels, founder and managing director of Thrive, said: “Frugl’s vision and commitment to bring more localised and customisable grocery experiences to Australians is innovative and inspiring.

“I’m looking forward to delivering a communications strategy for Frugl that will greatly impact user growth in Australia.”
