The Explainers Create New Titles For Mythbusters

Sydney communications studio, The Explainers, has reinvented the Mythbusters’ titles with a fresh ‘back-to-basics’ approach for the cult TV favourite in 2015.

With season 10 seeing the controversial exit of co-hosts Carey, Grant and Tori, The Explainers had the challenge of bringing the focus back to original hosts Jamie and Adam and with a beautifully shot opening sequence with graphics showing the precise data analysis needed for mythbusting as well as the love for blowing things up.

The titles were shot on a super high-speed Phantom camera and production was co-ordinated from The Explainers Sydney office with San Francisco (where the series is filmed).

‘We have had a long history with Mythbusters over the years and were so excited to have the opportunity to re-imagine the titles and create a bold new sophisticated tone for season 10,” Explainers managing director, Matt Taylor, said.

The new titles have just gone to air in the US and will hit Australian screens later this year.
