Independent creative agency, The Core Agency, has won the Doctors on Demand business following a competitive creative and media pitch.

The Core Agency engaged former client, Georgia Thomas, to develop the media strategy and independent agency, Love Media, for planning and buying. The collective team will work together to service the Brisbane-based client.

Doctors on Demand is one of the leading telehealth GP services that gives users video access to Australian registered doctors. The business is growing fast as people learn there is a more convenient way to talk with a doctor whenever they want to, from wherever they are.

Doctors on Demand offers immediate online appointments with doctors, psychologists and dieticians, plus new and repeat prescriptions and medical certificates. Doctors on Demand can be accessed via the web and its mobile apps.

Accelerated by COVID-19, the adoption of telehealth and video services is skyrocketing. There were nearly 43 million telehealth consultations claimed under Medicare in Australia between March and December 2020, and global telehealth use is forecast to grow seven-fold by 2025.

Christian Finucane, founder and creative partner at The Core Agency said, “It’s always rewarding to work with ambitious clients in fast-growth categories. The team at Doctors on Demand have set impressive growth targets and we’re looking forward to helping them achieve them.”

Kirsty Garrett, CEO at Doctors on Demand added, “We have been changing the face of healthcare in Australia since 2015 and placing the patient in the centre of their health journey.”

” We are now investing with The Core Agency and Love Media to leverage their expertise to speak to a wider audience to make virtual primary care the new normal and Doctors on Demand the go-to brand.”

Tony Woodward, head of media at Love Media said, “we’re excited to be working with the Doctors on Demand team, in a sector that is primed for growth. We look forward to partnering with key media owners to deliver The Core Agency’s campaign ideas with aplomb to our specific target audiences.”

This latest client win follows a growing list of pure play brands that have appointed The Core Agency to help them scale beyond the limitations of search marketing to become top of mind mainstream brands. The most recent being EASYFLOWERS which launched its new campaign on 28 February.

The Core Agency’s client list now includes IGA Supermarkets, QBE Insurance, Mitti, Elders Insurance, PwC, Just Better Care and Evergreen Garden Care.
