Taco Bell has appointed 72andSunny as their creative partner in Australia following a competitive pitch.

72andSunny will now be responsible for all of the fast food company’s creative strategy and integrated communications.

The long-term partnership kicks off immediately to help scale the Taco Bell business in Australia.

Taco Bell currently has 27 restaurants in Australia with big growth ambitions. Its marketing function is run by its two franchise partners, Restaurant Brands Australia and Collins Foods.

Ben Simmons, GM marketing and operations, RBAU, said, “We were looking for a partner that could help Taco Bell disrupt the fast-food category in a youthful and cool way whilst also driving sales. 72andSunny have a real understanding of modern Australia and share our growth mindset.”

David Timm, CMO, Collins Foods says, “72andSunny brought the right blend of category and global experience to how they think about strategy, creative and process that felt like a great fit for our business.”

Ross Berthinussen, president of 72andSunny Sydney, says the partnership is built upon shared values.

“Both Taco Bell and 72andSunny are built on the spirit of optimism. We’re looking forward to building a relationship that can lead to epic results through epic work.”

Luke Martin, ECD, said, “We love Taco Bell’s ambition to really embrace youth culture. It’s a brand that’s always shown up in innovative ways overseas, we’re looking forward to bringing that energy to Australia.”
