A store owner in Sydney has gone viral after he posted a handwritten note on his vintage shop calling out Prime Minister Scott Morrison for the slow Australian vaccine rollout.

The owner, James Powditch, placed the note on the front of his store telling customers the store would be “closed for the foreseeable future because Scott Morrison is a useless dickhead.”

The note was posted after the business was forced to close temporarily due to another COVID-19 outbreak in Sydney.

The vaccine rollout in Australia has been criticised as inefficient, with ABC reporting that the rollout has been slow and messy.

The Guardian reported yesterday that less than five per cent of Australians are fully vaccinated

Powditch told B&T that, “our handling of the crises was brilliant up to the point at which we needed to get the country vaccinated to say 70 per cent to make it effective.”

The note has since gone viral, with CNN picking up the story.

Naturally, Twitter also had a lot to say about the infamous note

Stay safe Australia. ❤ And after that. Vote that @ScottMorrisonMP out of office! https://t.co/w1zkzHIppC

Even TikTok got in on the action, with a video about the note receiving over 17 thousand views on the platform.

Powditch said, “Going viral that is fantastic because it means I’ve hit a raw nerve.”

Powditch has already posted a new and equally politically note on his Inner West business.

Sydney is expected to be in lockdown until at least 9 July.
