British boy band with great hair One Direction have mutually agreed to a break for at least a year to pursue ‘solo projects’.

According to England’s The Sun newspaper the hiatus will begin in March next year, at the end of the group’s contractual obligations to their label Syco.

The One D boys, who were dumped by their fellow band member Zayn earlier this year, are reportedly worth an estimated £25m each after topping the charts worldwide since emerging in the 2010 series of X Factor.

Fangirls and Fanboys across the world have taken to Twitter to mourn about the lack of boy band fun
