The CEO Magazine has announced the winners of its 2017 Executive Of The Year Awards at Crown Melbourne last night.

SBS’ CEO Michael Ebeid took the top prize being named CEO Magazine’s top CEO for 2017. Runner-up to Ebeid was Atomic 212’s Jason Dooris.

Ebeid also won the media executive of the year category.

The annual awards are open to anyone in business and are not media/marketing specific.

Other winners last night included:

Media Executive of the Year – Michael Ebeid, CEO and Managing Director, SBS

Retail Executive of the Year – Shelley Sullivan, Founder and CEO, ModelCo

Transport and Logistics Executive of the Year – Bob Black, CEO StarTrack and Group COO Australia Post

IT and Telecommunications Executive of the Year – Trent Innes, Managing Director, Xero Australia

Health and Pharmaceutical Executive of the Year – Nathan Cheong, Managing Director, BioCeuticals

Building and Construction Executive of the Year – George Boumoussa, CEO and Managing Director, GJ Building and Contracting

Manufacturing Executive of the Year – Dr Aniss G.E. Chami, CEO, Vitex Pharmaceuticals

Energy and Resources Executive of the Year – Barry Fitzgerald, CEO, Roy Hill

Hospitality and Tourism Executive of the Year – Ann Sherry, Executive Chairman, Carnival Australia

Financial Services Executive of the Year -Stephen Capello, CEO, BankVic

Professional Services Executive of the Year -Scott Stavretis, CEO, Acquire BPO

Executive Assistant of the Year – Simone Koolloos, Executive Assistant to Group CEO, Blackmores

Not-For-Profit Executive of the Year – Caitlin Pearson, General Manager of Marketing and Engagement, Macarthur Disability Services

Young Executive of the Year – Sara Kahlau, General Manager, Office of the CEO, icare
