Australian Radio Network (ARN) has claimed the number one network ranking across the nation for the fourth consecutive radio ratings survey.
The result means ARN also finished on top in terms of overall average network share for 2017.
GfK, the official provider of radio ratings for Commercial Radio Australia, today released its eighth and final survey for the year.
Again, ARN’s Sydney stations – KIIS 1065 and WSFM – dominated the FM breakfast slot, while KIIS also held off Nova 96.9 and Macquarie Media’s 2GB to remain on top in drive.
ARN’s Mix 102.3 in Adelaide also brought home the bacon once again, topping the overall standings in its market, while the network’s GOLD 104.3 retained the number one spot overall for FM in Melbourne.
Duncan Campbell, national content director at ARN, said it was an incredible day overall for the network.
“This is ARN’s best ever year of survey results and validates our ongoing strategic approach to our station, shows and talent and positions the network for further success in 2018,” he said.
ARN chief executive Rob Atkinson added: “This survey celebrates not only our fourth consecutive survey win and our best ever survey result, but also ends the year for ARN with our best result across the year.
“This is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and talent of the ARN teams across the country.”
