Paper + Spark Expands Team & Client Roster

Independent marketing consultancy Paper + Spark has announced some key business hires and client wins

In June 2020, Paper + Spark announced they were committed to an aggressive hiring strategy and following, have made some key strategic hires including scooping up ex Wunderman Thompson creative Margot Alais, ex Hill + Knowlton Strategies Data & Insights lead, Ben Baltins, along with promoting one of the foundation Sparkers, Suma Wiggins.

Managing director and founder Zeina Khodr (pictured) commented; “I am extremely proud of being named Marketing Agency of the Year, especially considering Paper + Spark is only two year’s old. Combined with our CX award win, it is tremendous recognition for our foundation team and clients and is another proof point for our newest recruits that they are joining an award-winning agency.

“Being independent affords us the flexibility and agility to seek out and hire diverse talent who excel in their field and bring a certain multidiscipline creative spark to the team.  2020 has proved to be a challenging year on many levels, so to be recognised with such an award this year, is especially gratifying. Our team resilience and focus has allowed us to thrive during increased economic instability.”

“And being named Marketing Agency of the Year couldn’t come at a better time as we continue to onboard new clients and talent, including Margot and Ben.

“Margot Alais who recently joined the team brings a unique combination of creative thinking, clever writing and multimedia skills that are crucial for the complex always-on integrated digital world in which we operate. Ben uncovers the behavioural insights that propels our strategic storytelling, helps clients set goals and benchmarks that matter, and manages the execution of digital campaigns across search and social to drive these results.

“With these combined skills, Margot and Ben have naturally slotted into the Paper + Spark model. We’re a tight knit complimentary skilled national team who have all come together with a united purpose, to do great work, enjoy what we do and deliver what is ultimately best for our clients with an omnichannel mindset.”

While committed to making new hires, Paper + Spark also wish to announce the outstanding performance of one of their foundation members, Suma Wiggins. Suma heads up Paper + Spark’s Financial Services team and custom publishing arm and oversees one of the company’s biggest clients, the Financial Planners Association.

“Following a successful re-pitch of the FPA business in 2019, Suma had a big job to deliver continual innovation and growth for the digital platform, www.moneyandlife.com.au, publish 10 magazine issues and deliver revenue growth. She has delivered outstanding results despite the curve ball that is COVID.”

Suma Wiggins commented; “It’s rewarding to have my work recognised with this promotion, but I am also grateful for the continual opportunities Paper + Spark provide. I’m offered autonomy, flexibility but also a structure around me that means I can deliver my best work.”
