Known for its punny headlines, NT News has taken its comic-proclivities one step further by printing an eight-page ‘toilet paper’ liftout to aid its readers amid the toilet paper crisis wreaking havoc across the country.
Yesterday, B&T reported how the apocalypse-like response to the coronavirus has forced Woolworths to introduce toilet roll limits amid panic buying.
The good news for those who can’t seem to snag a pack of TP, however, is that NT News has found a solution.
The News Corp-owned paper left eight pages blank in the middle of today’s paper to help its readers who may find themselves in a bungle, or who don’t have a supply of back-up rolls.
NT News editor Matt Williams wrote on LinkedIn he’d done his “community service for the day”.
As written on the front page of the paper: “Run out of loo paper? The NT News cares. That’s why we’ve printed an eight-page special liftout inside, complete with handy cut lines, for you to use in an emergency. Get your limited edition one-ply toilet newspaper sheets.”

So fear not. There are alternatives if you keeping missing out on loo roll. Or, just use an old Gregory’s Street Directory. Sorted.
