WPP’s Mindshare has won the main media account for Red Bull following a competitive pitch.
The account is reported to be worth $6 million.
The win follows the news that Mindshare has once again topped the list for new media wins for the month of February, according to the latest R3 data.
Mindshare will take on all strategy, planning and buying for Red Bull, across all channels, led by Mindshare client lead Martin Newman.
Mindshare Australasia CEO Katie Rigg-Smith said: “It’s hard not to be excited about working with Red Bull. It is such an iconic brand that looks to use media in a unique way to drive integration into popular culture.
“The Red Bull team have been so engaging and welcoming to us and we are looking forward to the opportunity of working with them and building upon the successes they have already had in Australia.”
Mindshare account lead Martin Newman said: “We are really looking forward to developing how media can be used to amplify Red Bull’s presence in Australian culture as they continue to build the world of Red Bull going forward.’
The win is the latest in a string of achievements for Mindshare Australia including winning the Mondelez account, and being named Campaign Asia’s Australian Media Agency of the Year in January.
Red Bull also recently appointed Mindshare in the UK.
