It may have worked for Kendall Jenner in her now infamous Pepsi ad, however a wag in the US has attempted to quell a riot and riot police with cans of the fizzy drink with less than spectacular results.
Comic Vito Gesualdi bought a whole bag of Pepsi to hand out to protestors and police at a protest at California’s Berkeley University. Check Gesualdi’s video of the action – all intertwined with snippets of Kendall’s initial ad – below:

Gesualdi is initially stopped by police from bringing the cans into the protest for fears they’ll be used as missiles.
However, he manages to sneak a few in, however, the sugary beverages fail to placate either rioters or riot police who appear too preoccupied chucking witches hats and tear gas at each other.
