LiSTNR has been named Podcast Company of the Year in the 2022 Radio Today Podcast Awards for the second consecutive year, while the rest of its team took wins for Podcast of the Year, Podcast Thought Leader of the Year and Podcast Executive Producer of the Year.
LiSTNR’s Come Out Wherever You Are podcast, has been voted Podcast of the Year.
The podcast which explores the unique complexities of each individuals’ coming out experience, and is made to educate and empower queer and straight people alike. Hosted by proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Sean Szeps, the podcast was released in June 2021, developed by LiSTNR’s head of factual and drama content Jennifer Goggin and executive produced by LiSTNR’s Lindsey Green.
Head of factual and drama – LiSTNR Original Podcasts, Jennifer Goggin has been named Podcast Thought Leader of the Year.
Goggin has been a key contributor to the growth and development of podcasting within SCA and across the industry. More recently Goggin has been instrumental in the creation of an entirely new podcast genre for LiSTNR with the release of the first of many Audio Fiction based podcasts. The Younger Man, a podcast based on Zöe Foster-Blake’s bestselling rom-com novel, which landed in Spotify’s top five titles at launch and has paved the way for more releases. Goggin is also shaping new investigative docu-series that will allow LiSTNR to push new audio initiatives to entertain and inform the growing podcast audience in the factual and drama space.
For the second consecutive year, senior executive producer – LiSTNR Original Podcasts, Nic McClure has claimed Podcast Executive Producer of the Year.
McClure’s extensive 26-year resume in the radio and audio industry has seen her work with some of Australia’s biggest names in entertainment. She has been involved with some of LiSTNR’s leading titles including, It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield, The Briefing, Matt & Alex All Day Breakfast, That’s Enough Already with Urzila Carlson and is currently executive producer of The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show. Not just a producer, McClure is passionate about sharing her experience and endless knowledge as a teacher, in collaboration with AFTRS and as a mentor to incoming producers in the audio industry.

“For Jennifer and Nic to win their individual awards is recognition to their passion, and ongoing commitment to podcasting. For Sean to win Podcast of the Year acknowledges the entire team who co-created the title, it is also credit to the judges that recognised such an important piece of work.”
The awards, managed by Radio Today, celebrate podcasting excellence across a number of categories, with a panel of expert judges drawn from the industry.
