Beloved reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians is set to come to a close next year.
“It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’” the famous family said in a joint statement, signed by Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick.
“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spin-off shows, we’ve decided as a family to end this very special journey. We are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”
The family thanked E!, the production team and executive producer Ryan Seacrest, who has been involved with the show since the beginning.
In its 14-year tenure, the show has tranformed the Kardashian family from reality TV fodder into a global brand.
From a television perspective alone, the show has led to spin-offs including Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Khloe & Lamar, I Am Cait, Kourtney & Kim Take Miami and Flip It Like Disick.
In a statement to her 188 million Instagram followers, Kim Kardashian-West said: “Without ‘Keeping Up with The Kardashians,’ I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years,” she wrote. “This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”
